Backed by Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott’s pair of braces, Arsenal cruised past Hull City to snap their five-match winless streak across all competitions for a 4-0 fifth-round FA Cup victory at KC Stadium on Tuesday.

It took a while for the Gunners to get on the scoreboard after a 0-0 result when the two clubs met at the Emirates Stadium on Feb. 20. Giroud scored his first goal in the 41st minute and added another 30 minutes later against particularly poor defending by the Tigers. Walcott added to Hull's woes with goals in the 77th and 88th minute. The final goal was courtesy of poor footing by goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.

It wasn't all positive news for Arsenal. Per Mertesacker, Gabriel and Aaron Ramsey all suffered injuries and were substituted out. Mertesacker was replaced by Nacho Monreal in the 33rd minute after a collision with Nick Powell. His fellow center back Gabriel stepped off the field with a muscle injury in the 57th minute, and was replaced by Ramsey, who would later exit with a back injury in 73rd minute.

Arsenal entered the match with center back Laurent Koscielny out of the 18-man squad due to a minor calf injury. The seriousness of the injuries to Mertesacker and Gabriel could play a major role for the club's Premier League title hopes.

Arsene Wenger's squad is also still without goalkeeper Petr Cech, along with midfielders Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tomas Rosicky. Chris Willock and Jeff Reine-Adelaide made the roster against Hull, while Alex Owobi was named a starter.
