Holding true to their pre-match promises, Carlos Tevez unleashed a goal within the first three minutes of Juventus’ second leg Champions League matchup with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday at Signal Idula Park.
After Patrice Evra regained possession in Dortmund’s area, he found Tevez, who struck a beautiful curving ball with a right-footed shot outside the penalty area to the top left corner past helpless keeper Roman Weidenfeller.
The Old Lady now hold a 3-1 aggregate lead over the Bundesliga side 3-1 and could punch their ticket to the quarterfinals for the third time in the last four years.
Juve already maintained a 2-1 aggregate lead, but with Dortmund notching one away goal in the first leg, manager Massimiliano Allegri's side have even greater breathing room.
It was the fifth goal of the tournament for the Argentine Tevez, and his 22nd overall this term. Evra notched his first assist in Champions League play this season, and it just might have been his play of the year.
