“Vikings” Season 4 Spoilers
Rollo (Clive Standen, pictured) and Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) will face off against one another in an epic battle during the midseason finale of “Vikings.” History Channel

Prepare yourselves, “Vikings” fans, for the ultimate showdown on Thursday. In the anticipated midseason finale of the History Channel series, Ragnar and Rollo will partake in an epic battle — a clash where only one Lothbrok brother will survive.

According to a trailer for episode 10, titled “The Last Ship,” Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) reveals the plan behind his overseas trek has been tweaked just a bit. Instead of wanting to conquer Paris, Ragnar has a new mission and it’s to take down his treacherous brother once and for all.

“When everyone wanted you dead, I kept you alive,” the King of Norway shouts at Rollo (Clive Standen), reminding him of his Season 1 betrayal. But Ragnar is no longer sticking out his neck for his deceitful sibling. In episode 9 of “Vikings,” viewers could hear Ragnar muttering to himself that he plans on thrusting his sword into Rollo’s heart.

“One of us will die today,” Ragnar warns Rollo in the teaser.

“And it won’t be me,” Rollo replies.

So which brother will survive the climatic midseason finale battle? Unfortunately for Ragnar, things look pretty bleak for the Northman as he fights a deteriorating health. Currently the famous warrior is facing brutal withdrawals from Yidu’s (Dianne Doan) medicine. But the clever king is saving his last herbal remedy for the deadly face-off against his brother.

Rollo, however, doesn’t need a boost of energy take down his brother. He’s been counting down the days until he was powerful enough to kill Ragnar and now with the entire Frankish army behind him, he can finally slip out from the shadow of his iconic brother and cast his own.
