Camuto is an icon in the footwear industry. In 1978, he co-founded Nine West Group Inc. and, well, the rest is history. From there he launched numerous successful shoe brands, bought licensing to other successful brands and launched his own namesake line in 2005.

Shortly thereafter, Camuto teamed up with Tory Burch and collaborated with the haute hippie designer to create Americana staple, the Reva flat. Around that time he also purchased the master license for Jessica Simpson, a billion-dollar fashion company. He opened the first Jessica Simpson Collection boutique in Macy's Herald Square.

It is no wonder this savvy businessman has been firing on all cylinders in 2011. He took home the Brand of the Year trophy in November at the 25th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards, presented by a pregnant Jessica Simpson. He also opened his first outpost shop at Shangri-La Plaza Mall in the Philippines earlier this month.

With an accomplished past and his wife, Louise Camuto, at his side as his company's creative director, Vince Camuto is unstoppable.

The Vince Camuto brand is authentic, it is something my wife, as creative director, and I are building together. The crest is my real family crest. My passion is in footwear, but we want to dress the whole woman and give her the chance to obtain real style, he told Business World Online.

Camuto's designs, which ranges from shoes and handbags to clothing and jewelry, are fashion forward yet decidedly affordable.
