Coloring books are no longer just for kids, as adult coloring books are now starting to become a mainstream activity. Coloring isn’t just an activity to do for fun either. Research shows that it can be used as a form of therapy. According to the American Art Therapy Association, creating artwork can be used as a way to “explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem.”

While adult coloring books have been on the market since 2012, we’re now starting to see an increase in pop culture adult coloring books, similar to what children have had available for years. Whether you’re a fan of “Doctor Who,” “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead” or “The Hunger Games,” there are books for everyone. Many of these books can be bought on Amazon, Walmart, Target and other store websites.
