Wall Street opened slightly higher on Friday with a barren economic calendar providing few catalysts, as Boeing rose after the planemaker said it will accelerate some production.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 29.55 points, or 0.27 percent, at 10,808.72. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 3.13 points, or 0.27 percent, at 1,168.96. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 5.42 points, or 0.23 percent, at 2,396.70.

Boeing was up 2.5 percent to $72.64.
