Wall Street cuts losses after factory orders
U.S. stocks cut losses to trade little changed on Tuesday following data that showed new orders received by factories rose more than expected in September.
* The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> slipped 9.52 points, or 0.10 percent, to 9,779.92. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 0.01 points, or 0.00 percent, to 1,042.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was off 2.94 points, or 0.14 percent, to 2,046.26.
