U.S. stocks opened little changed on Thursday as economic data gave some respite to investors worried that the lack of a deal on how to handle the Greek debt crisis could trigger disorderly market moves and crimp liquidity.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 10.82 points, or 0.09 percent, at 11,886.45. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 0.19 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,265.23. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 3.79 points, or 0.14 percent, at 2,627.67.
