By @ibtimes on

Wall Street opened flat but near three-year highs on Monday after recent strong earnings, but high oil prices capped gains in what was likely to be a low volume day, with major European markets closed.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 14.80 points, or 0.12 percent, at 12,491.19. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 1.50 points, or 0.11 percent, at 1,335.88. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 0.16 point, or 0.01 percent, at 2,820.32.
