Wall Street opens flat in pre-earnings lull
Stocks opened little changed on Friday after Wall Street recorded three straight winning days and as investors braced for the start of earnings season next week.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> dipped 13.85 points, or 0.14 percent, to 10,125.14. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was off 1.39 points, or 0.13 percent, to 1,068.86. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> eased 2.77 points, or 0.13 percent, to 2,172.63.
