Stocks opened higher on Monday as Greece launched a sovereign bond issue, easing concerns about the country's debt problems, while investors were optimistic about key jobs data later this week.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> added 29.78 points, or 0.27 percent, to 10,880.14. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> rose 4.92 points, or 0.42 percent, to 1,171.51. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 11.20 points, or 0.47 percent, to 2,406.33.
