Quarterback Robert Griffin III hopes to avoid last week's drama as the Washington Redskins welcome the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field.

The game begins at 1 p.m. EDT and will be shown by CBS, or you may watch a live stream online by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket Max.

Griffin tasted his first defeat in the NFL, albeit a controversial one, as Washington lost 31-28 to the St. Louis Rams last Sunday.

Receiver Josh Morgan was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after throwing the ball at Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan with 1:13 left. The 15-yard penalty forced the Redskins to kick a 63-yard field goal, and ultimately cost them the game.

Griffin followed up his historic debut with another solid game, going 20-for-29 with 206 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, but he was hit several times. The Heisman winner also rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Running back Alfred Morris rushed for 89 yards, and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson filled in for an injured Pierre Garcon, with two receptions for 68 yards and a score. Garcon has been ruled out for Sunday’s game and Hankerson is expected to have an increased role.

Unlike Griffin, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had a major career highlight last week, throwing a career-high three touchdowns in a 34-27 win over the Cleveland Browns last week.

Despite giving up 439 total yards to Cleveland, Dalton’s 50-yard touchdown pass to receiver Andrew Hawkins gave Cincinnati a 31-17 lead in the fourth quarter that the Browns couldn’t overcome.

Dalton finished 24-for-31 for 318 yards, hitting six receivers for a minimum of 30 yards each. Receiver A.J. Green led the team with seven catches for 58 yards and a touchdown.

In terms of injuries, Washington's defense lost linebacker Brian Orakpo and defensive end Adam Carriker for the season, while the Bengals listed defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick as out.

Betting Odds: Washington is favored by 3 points; Over/Under: 49 points

Prediction: This game could go either way, but the injuries to Orakpo and Carriker will put a lot of pressure on Washington’s reserves. Dalton should have another strong day for Cincinnati in a strong victory.

Predicted Score: Cincinnati 30, Washington 24
