In the latest episode of Dancing With the Stars Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced freestyle and received a very respectable score from the judges. Three of the judges scored the dance with a 9.

This was the final performance of the season. The freestyle dance included elements of the Rumba dn the Cha-Cha.

You are the new poster child for life as it should be lived at 60 years old! Free, loving, poignant, crazy, wacky, unpredictable, and all of the above and then some, said Carrie Ann Inaba who is a judge on the show.

Bruno Toniolo said, Honest truth, 10 weeks ago I never would have thought of you even attempting the lifts. I love that you went for it. Romance in the beginning, sexy in the middle and gymnastics. Respect, girl!

After the show, Alley told reporters that the performance was exhilarating.

I wanted to do a handspring, as I haven't been able to do a handspring my entire life, she said. then at the last minute I thought do you really want to try this, this week, because I could land flat on my back. Who the hell knows what I would do? I don't even know.
