As the debate on stricter gun control laws in America heats up, Piers Morgan, the host of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” tackled the issue by invited Larry Pratt to the program to share his perspective on the firearm dispute.

Pratt is the executive director of Gun Owners of America, a U.S.-based firearms lobbying group, and a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

"Since we have concealed carry laws in all of our country now, people can get a concealed firearm. And yet, we have laws that say not in schools," Pratt said. "And so in the very places that have been sought out by monsters such as the murderer of these adults and children, we're saying, 'no, we don't want you to be able to defend yourself. It's better that you just sit there and wait to be killed.' And we find that morally incomprehensible."

After continuing to suggest that stricter gun laws would prevent "good guys" from being able to defend themselves, Morgan seems to lose all control by calling Pratt an "unbelievably stupid man."

“What a ridiculous argument. You have absolutely no coherent argument whatsoever. You don't give a damn, do you, about the gun murder rate in America? You don't actually care,” Morgan adds.

The CNN host eventually took to Twitter after the broadcast to further voice his frustration about Pratt’s point-of-view and those who share it.

“Still seething after tonight's show. Just can't understand the mentality of those who insist the only answer to #Newtown is MORE guns,” @piersmorgan tweeted.
