Former gymnast and Olympic god medalist Shawn Johnson and her husband, former NFL long snapper Andrew East, announced in an emotional video posted Saturday that Johnson had recently suffered a miscarriage,

“Today’s video is a little bit sensitive,” Johnson East, 25, said at the beginning of the video titled “pregnancy + heartbreak."

“It’s not the happiest video but we feel like a lot of people go through this so we wanted to share it.”

The video shows snippets from the couple's life, from the time Johnson learned she was pregnant to the time she suffered the miscarriage two days later. Towards the beginning, two home pregnancy tests are shown as positive and Johnson is seen tearfully saying "(Andrew)'s going to be a daddy."

The video later shows the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant informing about her pregnancy to East by giving him a pair of baby sneakers.

Later, the couple is shown driving to see a doctor after Johnson starts suffering from stomach pains, and the doctor eventually revealing that she had miscarried naturally.

“So, it’s been a roller coaster of a few days. We just got back from the doctor and I’m no longer pregnant. Somehow, I lost the pregnancy already. It sucks. It’s definitely no fun, guys … and having a doctor confirm that we miscarried doesn’t feel good,” Johnson is seen addressing the camera when they get back home. “I’ve cried enough today, I don’t need to cry anymore.”

She also captioned the video saying: "The past 48 hours have been some of the happiest, scariest, and saddest times of my life. My husband Andrew and I found out that we were unexpectedly pregnant, only to find out hours later some tragic news. I have been crying more than I ever have, but am still optimistic for what is next."

The couple did a live session on Facebook after the video was posted on YouTube to chat with their fans.
