Murray State defeated Vanderbilt 66-65 on Thursday with a shocking shot made by Danero Thomas as the buzzer sounded in an opening game of the NCAA West Regional.

It was the school’s first victory in the NCAA tournament since a 78-75 win over North Carolina State in 1988.
