New York -- One of the biggest attractions of day two of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 2012 was the Terrier Group. A Terrier has won the Best in Show award 45 times over Westminster's 136 years -- more than double any other group.

The terriers typically have greatly appealed to judges in the past, especially the Wire Fox Terrier. The gorgeous Wire Fox Terrier has won the Best in Show award a whopping 13 times -- a significant amount more than any of its competitors. The last Best in Show winner for the Terrier Group was in 2010 when a Scottish Terrier named Sadie won the illustrious award.

On Tuesday we documented the best of the terriers, including the Wire Fox Terrier, the Scottish Terrier, and the Smooth Fox Terrier, which won the group in 2011.

The individual breed winners will compete later on Tuesday night in the group competition. The winner of the Terrier Group will then compete against the six other groups for the Best in Show title. Thus far the group winners have been: a wirehaired dachshund (Hound Group); a Pekingese (Toy Group); a Dalmatian (Non-hunting Group); and a German Shepherd (Herding Group)
