A lot of new characters are going to make “Westworld” Season 2 very, very interesting. HBO

“Westworld” Season 1 did not lack for interesting characters. There were a lot of surprising twists about the characters, particularly Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and William (Jimmi Simpson), that kept fans at the edge of their seats.

However, show creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy still have a few surprises up their sleeves. For Season 2, they will introduce a lot of new characters who will definitely stir trouble in Delos.

The first newbie is Hiroyuki Sanada, who play Musashi for Delos’ Samurai World. He appears to be a host, but HBO has yet to confirm any more details regarding his character, reported Fansided.

The next character will be Grace (Grace Herbers) - a seasoned visitor of the park who got caught up in Dolores’ revolution, so much so that her life now hangs in the balance.

Trailing after Grace will be Maling (Betty Gabriel), who is in charge of restoring order after the park. Given the chaos Dolores is creating, Maling definitely has a tall order to fill.

Other characters include Jonathan Tucker, who will recur as Major Craddock - a commanding military officer in the second season of “Westworld,” according to Variety. On the other hand, Neil Jackson will play Nicholas - a charming and resourceful man who finds himself in uncharted territory.

Gustaf Skarsgård will play Karl Strand, who is a white-collared guy who no problem getting his hands dirty. Then there’s Fares Fares, who will be playing a tech expert named Antoine Costa.

Last but not the least, Zahn McClarnon will play a mysterious new character in “Westworld.” Will he be a park guest or a host? Or maybe a high-ranking official in Delos?

McClarnon actually suffered from an injury at home, which prompted “Westworld” to suspend its production momentarily. TMZ reported that McClarnon fell and hit his head at home. He was immediately rushed to the ICU of a nearby hospital with brain trauma. Thankfully, he was able to recover and proceed with the show.

“Westworld” Season 2 premieres on HBO in Spring 2018.
