The victim of a whale attack at Orlando's SeaWorld on Wednesday is apparently 40-year-old Dawn Brancheau, an anonymous law enforcement official said, according to CBS News.

The trainer was one of the most experienced ones at the park, according to a spokesman.

Just before a show started today, the whale took off really fast in the tank, and then he came back, shot up in the air, grabbed the trainer by the waist and started thrashing around, and one of her shoes flew off, Park guest Victoria Biniak told Local 6 News.

In a different statement, the Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Solomons said the woman apparently slipped and fell into the tank and was fatally injured by one of the whales, Reuters reports.

The animal is known for been involved in two other deaths.
