Kim Kardashian’s Paris robber, Aomar Ait Khedache, recently confirmed that they melted and sold almost all of the reality TV star’s jewelry after stealing them last year.

While speaking with police officials (via NY Daily News), Khedache said, “For the jewelry to never be recognized, we made the decision to melt them. One of the people took care of that. He came back with bars. In all, there had to be 800 and a few grams, which gave an amount of $26,000 to $30,000,” he said. Khedache and his group decided to not melt Kardashian’s 20-carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring, fearing that the unique stone will be spotted very easily.

Meanwhile, Khedache allegedly admitted to planning on robbing Kardashian at an earlier date because he has her complete schedule while she was in Paris for the Paris Fashion Week, according to Entertainment Tonight. “She specified that she didn’t wear fakes, the schedules when she came to France. It was enough to look on the Internet to know everything, absolutely everything,” he said.

Khedache is one of the 17 people who were taken into police custody following the robbery that took place in October 2016. He is also one of the 10 people who have been charged, and he is being held without bail.

Earlier this month, a copy of Kardashian’s police report was obtained by Le Journal du Dimanche. It detailed the events that took place on the day she was robbed inside her hotel room. According to the reality TV star, she had been in her bathrobe when a group of men broke into her hotel room and tied her up on the bed with plastic cables. They also snatched her Blackberry, before carrying her into the bathroom a few minutes later.
