On Sunday, rain continuously poured on the rack of the Daytona International Speedway. In a rare, unprecedented move, NASCAR officials were forced to postpone the Sprint Cup Series' biggest event of the year, but will the race be postponed again?

For the first time ever, the Daytona 500 had to be postponed. Severe rainfall caused the anticipated start time to get pushed further and further back. Eventually, NASCAR officials concluded that the track was too slippery and the rain to heavy and chose to postpone the event until Monday.

This is the first time in its 54 year history that the Great American Race was postponed. However, the race is set to kick off today at 12 p.m. EST. Fans can catch the race live on their local Fox network station or on the radio.
