Sadly, “Bull” fans won’t be getting the gift of new episodes this holiday season as there are none scheduled for the rest of December. Last Tuesday’s new episode was the final one until Jan. 2, which means fans will at least get a very happy start to the new year.

When the drama returns with its next new episode, “Survival Instincts,” Bull (Michael Weatherly) will be representing Jemma Whitbeck (Chloe Levine), a teenager who was arrested for robbing a jewelry shop with an older man she disappeared with a year and a half ago. Bull decides to persuade the jury she’s not guilty by arguing that Jemma was not his willing accomplice, but actually a victim of his manipulation and abuse.

This will be the second episode in a row that Bull is helping a child out, though in the last new episode, “Home for the Holidays,” the child was a lot younger.

Dr. Bull met a 9-year-old girl (Annabelle Wachtel) who wanted his help in divorcing from her dad so that she could live on her own, which led Bull to report her situation to a judge. After much confusion and many discussions, it turned out that the little girl just needed her dad to notice her and make changes to how much attention he was giving her. It had a happy ending for the family, just in time for Christmas.

Marissa (Geneva Carr) also got a happy ending in this episode regarding her situation with her conman ex-boyfriend Kyle (Gary Wilmes) who took off with all of her money. Marissa asked her team for help and they were able to track him down. Marissa caught him at the airport at the end of the episode, with officials ready to handcuff him and take him into custody.

Now, even without new episodes until January 2018, fans of the series can watch rebroadcasts of old episodes during the show’s usual Tuesday night time slot on CBS.

Tonight (Dec. 19), “Bull” reairs its episode titled “Already Gone,” about a case involving a boyfriend who helps his terminally-ill girlfriend kill herself, which causes Bull and Benny to fight.

On Dec. 31, fans will see the episode “Dressed to Kill,” which revolves around Bull helping the lead suspect in the murder of Chunk’s (Christopher Jackson) old fashion mentor.

“Bull” returns with Season 2, episode 11, on CBS on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 9 p.m. EST.
