As New York City draws closer to the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, art and photo exhibitions around the city have begun to open doors to the public.

While many still struggle to make sense of the tragedy, artists have presented exhibitions in remembrance of the victims as well as to commemorate the service of those who serve in the military, law enforcement or the fire departments.

Ten years after the tragic events of terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001, the World Trade Center is currently under reconstruction, described as one of the greatest comeback stories in American history, according to Mayor Michael Bloomberg who on Tuesday spoke of the New York City's recovery from the trauma.

We will never forget the devastation of the area that came to be known as Ground Zero -- never, said the Mayor. But the time has come to call those 16 acres what they are: the World Trade Center and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.
