The space shuttle Enterprise will be embarking on its final mission today as it is carried on the back of a specially made aircraft from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla. to its new home on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on the Hudson River. You can watch the space shuttle's arrival in NYC online here.

If you're in NYC you can probably also catch a look at the the space shuttle with your own eyes as it circles the city before landing at the John F. Kennedy Airport.

The shuttle was originally scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, but NASA pushed it back due to bad weather.

The shuttle prototype was originally shown in the Smithsonian museum but will soon call the U.S.S. Enterprise home where it will be the largest and most significant space artifact in the entire Northeast, said Susan Marenoff-Zausner, Intrepid's president to the Associated Press.
