A Virginia couple has left many shocked and puzzled on how they got past security and crashed the state dinner at the White House on Tuesday.

A criminal investigation against Tareq and Michaele Salahi may soon begin after the couple just arrived at the White House dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Michaele Salahi posted photos of the couple posing with Vice President Joe Biden and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel as well as other guests on her Facebook page.

According to reports the couple was not on the official guest list.
