It seems like the love affair rumors between mega-stars just don't stop – even when they're both six feet under! The British tabloid The Sun is running an interview with Michael Jackson's former bodyguard who's claiming that the king and queen of pop, Whitney Houston, were together back in 1991 for a brief romantic fling.

Matt Fiddes told The Sun that over two decades ago, when Michael Jackson was 33 and Whitney Houston was 28 – long before Whitney Houston ws associated with crack and M.J. was associated with, well, pretty much everything unsavory and unholy – the two had a brief romantic engagement.

They met because they were two of the biggest recording artists on the planet, Fiddes told The Sun, and mixing in the same circles. They instantly connected as kindred spirits because they understood each other's massive fame.

The two were only together for about two weeks, according to M.J.'s former bodyguard, but that didn't stop Whitney from practically mov[ing] to Michael's ranch and [having] a fling like any other young couple.

Michael said later he had always hoped the relationship had gone further, and I know he dreamed of marrying her, Fiddes continued.

So why didn't he?

Apparently he didn't want to ruin his creepster image...?!

According to Fiddes, he considered the relationship not wacko enough for his global audience, to whom he wanted to give the impression that he was sexless.

On one hand Michael hated all the crazy attention that came with his celebrity, but he did a huge amount to encourage it.

As for Fiddes's story, it apparently was told to him by Michael Jackson himself – after all, the body guard, who claims to be a multi-millionaire martial arts expert, didn't even meet Jackson until 1998, a full seven years after the tryst is supposed to have taken place.

So do you believe it, or is this just another hanger-on trying to cash in on his relationship with the king of pop?
