Cathriona White, ex-girlfriend of actor Jim Carrey, committed suicide on Monday. She was 30 years old.
Sources told TMZ that White left a suicide note mentioning Carrey, 53. The note reportedly stated that the couple ended their relationship last Thursday, Sept. 24.
White reportedly died from a drug overdose. Her body was discovered by two friends.
Cathriona White, originally from Ireland, lived in Los Angeles. According to the Daily Mail, she and Carrey began dating in 2012 shortly after they met. They broke up after a few weeks but rekindled their romance in May of this year. Paparazzi photographed the couple hand-in-hand in New York City.
"They're having a great time now," an insider told Us Weekly at the time.
Their final breakup did not hit the tabloids. On Thursday, White posted a cryptic, but ominous, message on Twitter:
