“Chandelier” singer Sia has just filed for divorce from husband Erik Lang.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the singer cited irreconcilable differences as the main reason for their divorce. The documents were filed at a court in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Immediately after their filing became public, Sia and Lang released a joint statement to the publication saying that they have decided to remain amicable with each other. “After much soul searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment,” read the statement.

Sia and Lang were married for two years. The two were engaged for two months in 2014 before they decided to tie the knot in a private ceremony.

While speaking with Australian radio station Nova (via E! News), Sia previously said that attention from the media is causing a strain on their marriage. “It’s kind of disappointing because we can’t do anything. I’m kind of a bit famous. I didn’t realize I’m so famous,” she said.

Despite her failed marriage, the “Cheap Thrills” singer still has plenty of things to be grateful for. Sia has been very busy with work due to her North American world tour, “The Nostalgic for the Present Tour.” Earlier this month, Sia also earned three Grammy nominations. Two of her nominations were for her latest album, “This is Us,” while one is for her song, “Try Everything,” which was featured in “Zootopia.”

Sia is also in the running for Favorite Pop Artist at next year’s People’s Choice Awards. The ceremony will be held on Jan. 18.
