On Instagram, R&B star The Weeknd has 6.6 million followers but if you’re looking for photos, don’t expect to see any because the singer has zero posts. While the Canadian artist tends to keep a low profile, his latest move has fans wondering what he has in store.

With a move as drastic as deleting all of your Instagram pictures, one would have to suspect The Weeknd has something big planned, and the singer has hinted at it before. In his last Instagram post before wiping his page, the singer wrote, “This my last post before the new era. Happy birthday to the legend @lamarctaylor, wouldn’t be here without the vision. Let’s shut Toronto down tonight. XO.”

So what could “The Hills” singer have in store? It’s likely The Weeknd is getting ready to reveal information about his forthcoming album, something he’s talked about before. During an interview with VMAN, the singer revealed a number of artists who inspired him for his latest project and called it his “best-sounding album.”

“There are new inspirations on this album. The production feels aggressive but still sexy,” he said. “The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.”

The Weeknd’s empty Instagram page isn’t the only mysterious thing he did on social media recently. On Sept. 15, the “Can’t Feel My Face” finger simply tweeted the falling leaf and hourglass emoji. The self-proclaimed “King of the Fall” may be hinting at an autumn release date for his next album.
