Will Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) be revealed as the Night King when 'Game of Thrones" comes to an end? HBO

There have been several theories floating around about the fates of the remaining "Game of Thrones" characters, and while Bran Stark's future seems fairly certain, fans still have quite a few ideas about what will happen to the youngest remaining Stark child before the HBO series comes to an end.

In a new interview with Time, Isaac Hempstead Wright, who portrays the youngest Stark child on the series, revealed a theory he had about what would happen with Bran in the future, and while there are several different ones, he seemed to be convinced of one in particular.

In his interview, Wright admitted that he thought it would be cool to see the theory where Bran has always been the Three-Eyed Raven play out on the show.

"I like the idea that it's actually a full circle and Bran becomes the Three-Eyed Raven that was in his dreams when he was younger," he said. "I like the idea that it's a deterministic, destiny driven thing where the old wise man went back in time as the Three-Eyed Raven to tell the young Bran to go north to the cave and it’s a paradox."

The universe surrounding "Game of Thrones" has already been confirmed as operating in a closed loop, which meant that Bran cannot change the past when he travels through time, and can only fulfill it. While that does continue giving credence to his theory, it is the same thing which also gives some credibility to a different theory about his character.

Over the summer, a fan pointed out on Reddit that the outfit Bran wears during his visions is similar to one worn by the villainous Night King, which has led to some believing that Bran will eventually be revealed as the character.

The detailed theory about Bran also supports the claim he would be the Night King through his own last-ditch effort to prevent the future destruction of Westeros, by warging into the man who the Children of the Forest turned into the Night King. Since the closed loop is how "Thrones" operates however, it would mean Bran's attempt was destined to fail, and he instead wound up trapped inside the Night King's body.

Of course, fans won't know how it really ends with Bran—and who he is revealed to actually be, until the eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" airs on HBO, likely in 2019.
