Fifty Shades Darker

There’s a good chance “Fifty Shades Darker” will be just as kinky as Universal Pictures’ first Christian Grey film, “Fifty Shades of Grey.” It was announced that the sequel will have an R rating.

According to E! Online, the MPAA announced that “Fifty Shades Darker” would be rated R due to “strong erotic sexual content, some graphic nudity and language.” So what does that mean exactly? If you’re the type to easily get flustered, you might want to stay away from theaters when the erotic movie is released.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” featured some very steamy sex scenes between Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), and fans should expect the same hot-and-heavy scenes in “Fifty Shades Darker.”

In September, fans got a peek at what was in store for Christian and Ana when the full trailer for “Fifty Shades Darker” was released. In the video, seen above, Christian sent Ana flowers in hopes of getting her to come back to him. “Fifty Shades of Grey” ended with Ana deciding that she couldn’t handle his BDSM lifestyle and breaking things off. However, if you’ve read the books then you already know that they get back together.

In the trailer, Christian and Ana were also seen at a masquerade ball and making out while fully clothed in the shower. Fans also got the first look at Elena Lincoln aka Mrs. Robinson (Kim Basinger). In E.L. James’ books, Elena is Christian’s business partner, but she also was the one who introduced him to the BDSM lifestyle when he was only 15 years old. For obvious reasons, Ana doesn’t like Elena and her presence causes some drama in Christian and Ana’s relationship.

“Fifty Shades Darker” hits theaters Feb. 10, 2017. The final movie installment, “Fifty Shades Freed” will be released in February 2018.
