Mitt Romney might be devastated by his loss, but at least he can be thankful Ann didn’t run him over with one of her Cadillacs. One Arizona man wasn’t so lucky, as Daniel Solomon was almost killed by his wife after the president was officially re-elected.

Holly Solomon of Mesa was arrested after she drove her SUV in pursuit of her husband, who was running around a parking lot in an attempt to escape, police said. He was eventually trapped under the vehicle and is now listed in critical condition at the hospital, according to the local ABC affiliate.

Mrs. Solomon, 28, apparently flew into a rage when she thought Romney's loss would send her family into economic despair. She was charged with domestic violence and aggravated assault after witnesses watched Daniel Solomon hide behind a telephone pole while his wife circled in the family Jeep.

“According to Daniel, Holly believed her family was going to face hardship as a result of President Obama's re-election,” Gilbert, Ariz., Police Sgt. Jesse Sanger told the Phoenix New Times.

Sanger also told the press Mrs. Solomon was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time, news that was met with shock and disbelief among the Internet comment boards. Daniel Solomon remains in critical condition at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center.
