Indian manufacturer, Tata, has launched a new gold and jewel encrusted Nano, three years after introducing it as the world's cheapest car.

The Tata Nano GoldPlus, as the new version is coined, contains 80 kg of 22 carat gold, 15 kg of silver and an unnamed number of gemstones.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the jewelry-making techniques, including intricate filigree work and delicate and colorful meenakari work, were incorporated into the gleaming design.

The gold version is worth and estimated at $4.6 million, based on the current price of bullion, the Gulfnews.com mentioned.
