Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a match at WrestleMania 31. Lesnar beat John Cena for the title at SummerSlam, and Reigns won a spot in the main event when he was the last man standing in the Royal Rumble.

It looked like Daniel Bryan would have a chance to compete for the belt, and there were rumors that he might face Lesnar and Reigns at WrestleMania, making the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match a triple threat for a second straight year. However, he lost to Reigns at Fast Lane, and will likely be in a mid-card match at WrestleMania 31.

Lesnar and Reigns will likely end the pay-per-view with the title match, but another wrestler has a chance to leave the event with the belt. Who will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31?

Brock Lesnar

Even though he’ll enter WrestleMania 31 as the WWE World Heavyweight champion, multiple wrestlers have a better chance of leaving the PPV with the belt. Lesnar’s contract with WWE will reportedly expire soon after the event, and there have been rumors for months that he’s headed back to UFC. If Lesnar is leaving the company, there’s little to no chance that he’ll win his match against Reigns.

In recent weeks, there have been reports that Lesnar might sign a new deal with the company. If Lesnar sticks around, WWE could decide that Reigns isn’t ready to take the title off the beast that they’ve built in Lesnar, starting with his WrestleMania 30 victory over The Undertaker. However, the plan has been for Reigns to beat Lesnar for quite some time, and it appears WWE is still going in that direction.

Roman Reigns

Since The Shield’s emergence, Reigns has been pegged as the company’s next top babyface, and the wrestler that is expected to eventually replace Cena. The crowd’s reaction at the 2015 Royal Rumble seemed to threaten WWE’s plans, but the company showed that they are sticking with Reigns after his victory at Fast Lane.

Putting the title on Reigns at WrestleMania 31 makes the most sense. Lesnar has been built as an unstoppable force, and a loss to Reigns would further supplant Reigns’ spot as a mainstay at the top of the card. The babyface usually wins the final match at WrestleMania, and with Reigns seemingly destined to be WWE’s next top star, 2015 should be no different.

Seth Rollins

Rollins won’t be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, likely facing Randy Orton at the PPV, but there’s a chance he’ll end the night with the title. He has yet to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, and he’s running out of time to get his championship opportunity. Rollins won the briefcase on June 29, 2014, and the contract inside it expires a year later.

Since he broke up The Shield, Rollins has become the top heel in WWE. While Reigns is very popular, he's still disliked by a portion of WWE fans. Rollins is so hated that taking the title from Reigns at the end of WrestleMania 31 will only help Reigns get over more. With Lesnar possibly leaving in April, Reigns will need a new opponent to feud with, and he and Rollins can begin a storyline that will last over several months.

Prediction

Reigns over Lesnar, Rollins cashes in and leaves WrestleMania 31 with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
