Elimination Chamber 2015 saw a new champion crowned on Sunday night, and it nearly ended with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship changing hands. After the vacant Intercontinental Championship was won by a first-time champ, it appeared Dean Ambrose claimed the company’s top title, only to see his title win over Seth Rollins overturned.

The Shield has been broken up for a year, but all three members of one of WWE’s top all-time factions are involved in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture. Roman Reigns didn’t have a match on the card, but he got involved with Rollins and The Authority after the conclusion of the title match.

John Cena didn’t defend his United States Championship, but his match with NXT Champion Kevin Owens stole the show. The two will have a rematch at Money in the Bank in two weeks.

There were six matches on the Elimination Chamber 2015 card. Below are the complete results for the PPV, as well as a recap of each match.

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match)

Ambrose defeated Rollins and left Elimination Chamber with the belt, but he’s not the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The challenger pinned the champ, but only after Rollins used the referee as a human shield against Ambrose. A replacement ref came to the ring to issue the three-count, but it was later ruled that Rollins had been disqualified for putting his hands on the ref. When The Authority began to beat down on Ambrose, Roman Reigns came out for the save, and led Ambrose through the crowd with the belt in his hands.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens (Champion vs. Champion Match)

In his first ever WWE match, Owens defeated the United States Champion cleanly with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. It was Cena’s first loss since beating Rusev for the title at WrestleMania 31, though the belt wasn’t on the line at Elimination Chamber. Owens kicked out of an Attitude Adjustment, and even hit one of his own, as the match was highlighted by a lot of false finishes.

Winner: Kevin Owens

WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match

With Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods all allowed to participate in the match, The New Day was able to retain their title. The Prime Time Players were the last team to be eliminated, as all three members of The New Day helped with the final pinfall. The Ascension pinned Los Matadores and the Lucha Dragons to start the eliminations, while the Prime Time Players pinned The Ascension and Tyson Kidd & Cesaro.

Winner: The New Day

Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match

With former IC champ Daniel Bryan sitting ringside, Ryback pinned Sheamus to win his first title in WWE. Mark Henry replaced the injured Rusev in the match, though he didn’t end up pinning anyone. King Barrett was gone rather quickly, after he was pinned by R-Truth. Sheamus was the last wrestler to enter the match, and he eliminated Dolph Ziggler and Henry.

Winner: Ryback

Nikki Bella vs. Paige vs. Naomi (Divas Championship Match)

Nikki’s lengthy title reign continues, as she pinned Naomi for the victory. Since she wasn’t involved in the finish, Paige will likely remain in the title picture for the foreseeable future.

Winner: Nikki Bella

Neville vs. Bo Dallas

Neville hit the Red Arrow for the victory, beating the man whom he defeated in NXT to start his title reign last year.
