Monday Night RAW this week will be recorded live at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee. A follow-up on the situation with Triple H after his hellacious match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, CM Punk deciding if he'll fight John Cena at Night of Champions, Dolph Ziggler entering a new rivalry, and more events are advertised for tonight's show on WWE.com.
Triple H's bare-all to the World Wrestling Entertainment fans after he was defeated by Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam will open the show, according to NoDQ. The chief operating officer of the WWE has been speculated by those close to him to be done with his wrestling career, within the storyline.
A close friend of Triple H within WWE and in real life, Shawn Michaels made a grim statement about The Game's "professional mortality" on the Aug. 20 episode of RAW. The Heart Break Kid said. "I think what we saw last night [at SummerSlam] could very well be the end of an amazing career."
Triple H's career is far from over, even though he won't be returning to the ring full-time. Originally it was believed that the Cerebral Assassin would meet Lesnar for a rematch at Survivor Series in November, but now NoDQ has updated the rumored date to be Hell in a Cell this October.
Monday Night RAW closed last week with CM Punk kicking Jerry "The King" Lawler in the back of the head for not acknowledging that the current WWE Champion was the Best in the World. This came directly after John Cena told Punk that if he didn't choose to face the 10-time WWE Champion at Night of Champions, that he didn't deserve any respect.
The Second City Saint has been growing more and more frustrated since he first attacked Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at RAW 1000 when Rocky interfered in his WWE Championship match. Punk feels that the WWE title should be the center of the WWE Universe and that he has been pushed out of the spotlight by stars like The Rock and Cena.
WWE.com is teasing that Punk will give an answer tonight, and it will undoubtedly be "yes." Whether the match is made tonight or some other time before the September pay-per-view, Punk and Cena will meet in a match for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions in Cena's hometown of Boston; the poster for the event is John Cena in front of the WWE Title belt.
NoDQ reports that advertised locally is a no-disqualification match between John Cena and Big Show. WWE's official website doesn't mention the match.
Dolph Ziggler is being pushed for the World Heavyweight Championship, but he won't be winning the belt just yet. Current champion Sheamus is in a feud with Alberto Del Rio, right now, and the two of them have a set match for Night of Champions - the only official match for that pay-per-view.
With the Money in the Bank briefcase in hand, Ziggler is almost guaranteed to be the next World Champion for SmackDown, but before that happens he'll need someone to face off against. As of right now, Mr. Money in the Bank has no tension with anyone, but that could easily be remedied on RAW, tonight.
RAW General Manager A.J. Lee has ordered Daniel Bryan to attend anger management meetings, which give WWE time for comic relief segments, and give his rival Kane free reign over whom to terrorize. "The Devil's Favorite Demon isn't done with Bryan by a long shot," according to WWE.com, so these two will probably be facing off over the next few weeks.
The WWE Divas division has been especially neglected lately, but the past couple of shows have seen more action for women's wrestling. The rivalry between Eve and Kaitlyn is part of tonight's advertisement on WWE.com.
The two women have been building a rivalry since the rookie Kaitlyn eliminated Eve from a Divas Battle Royal to become the no. 1 contender for the Divas Championship. Now the WWE site is implying that Eve's recent sportsmanship is a ruse, and that she has a sinister plan involving Kaitlyn and Divas Champion Layla.
The Miz is expected to be wrestling tonight, but the Intercontinental Champion won't face Rey Mysterio after the luchador suffered from a concussion last week at SummerSlam. A source quoted on WWE.com said that the day after SummerSlam officials conducted precautionary impact testing, which "showed that [Mysterio] is below baseline, which means he sustained some sort of concussion.
Tonight's Social Media Ambassador is actor Dominic Monaghan, who is appearing in the new WWE Studios film "The Day." The "Lord of the Rings" star will be tweeting about RAW in WWE's relentless effort to include more social media into their programming.
