There’s been months of rumors regarding the WWE SummerSlam 2017 matches, but the time for speculation is almost over. The pay-per-view is less than four weeks away, following WWE Battleground Sunday night.

It will be the first time since WrestleMania 33 that members of both the “Monday Night Raw” and “SmackDown Live” roster will be on the same card. Below are five SummerSlam 2017 predictions.

SummerSlam Will Feature Two Fatal 4-Ways

It became pretty clear last week that WWE would head in this direction. With Braun Strowman interfering in the No.1 contender’s match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, look for all three superstars to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. The Raw Women’s Championship picture is shaping up the same way. Bayley and Sasha Banks will square off in a No.1 contender’s match for Alexa Bliss’ title, and Nia Jax might play the role of Strowman to force her way into a fatal 4-way.

Brock Lesnar Will Lose The WWE Universal Championship

The main reason to have Lesnar face multiple competitors might be so he can drop the title without being pinned or submitted. Goldberg is the only wrestler that’s pinned Lesnar clean in the last four years, and it will probably be someone else that takes the loss at SummerSlam. Don’t be surprised if Reigns wins the title and eventually defends the championship against John Cena at WrestleMania 34, though Strowman has gotten over so much in recent months that it could potentially be his time to win the belt.

AJ Styles Will Be The United States Champion

Even though Styles dropped the U.S. Title at Battleground, he’s got plenty of time to win the belt back before Aug. 20. The finish of the match between himself and Kevin Owens was an awkward one, so don’t be surprised if it leads to a rematch for the championship on “SmackDown Live.” If Styles is able to defeat Owens for the title and end the feud, he could face Nakamura in a championship match at SummerSlam.

John Cena Will Face Jinder Mahal For The WWE Championship

There is no other logical challenger on the “SmackDown Live” roster. Orton is out of the title picture following his third straight loss to Jinder. Styles isn’t going to get a WWE Championship opportunity after just losing a U.S. Title Match, and Shinsuke Nakamura’s only PPV win has come against Dolph Ziggler. Beating Rusev at Battleground, Cena is the only babyface that makes sense to face Jinder at SummerSlam, and he might very well start his 17th world title reign.

There Will Be A Money In The Bank Cash-In

Carmella hasn’t done much of anything since winning the briefcase, and she was the only woman on the “SmackDown Live” roster that didn’t appear at Battleground. It’s hard to believe that Jinder will beat Cena in a potential WWE Championship Match, and Baron Corbin could get even more heat by preventing the 16-time world champ from setting a new record. Either way, SummerSlam could see its first cash-in attempt since Orton took the WWE Championship from Daniel Bryan in 2013.
