Survivor Series 2014 turned out to be an historic night in professional wrestling . Not only was the pay-per-view free on the WWE Network, but it marked Sting’s first ever appearance in WWE.

Recognized as one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, Sting had spent the bulk of his career as the face of WCW, followed by a decade-long stint with TNA. Since Sting left TNA in January, there have been rumors that he would soon appear on WWE TV. It’s unknown how involved he will be in WWE in the upcoming months, but his appearance at Survivor Series almost certainly means he will have a match at WrestleMania 31.

Sting wasn’t advertised for the event, but his involvement was no surprise to many, since it was leaked over the weekend. He helped bolster a PPV that didn’t feature any men’s singles titles, including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as Brock Lesnar continues his hiatus.

The pre-show featured wins for Fandango and Jack Swagger, while Bad News Barrett and Roman Reigns each made an appearance on the night in a non-wresting capacity. Below are the complete results from Survivor Series 2014, as well as a recap for each match.

Team Cena vs. Team Authority

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are no longer in power, as Dolph Ziggler pinned Seth Rollins to become the sole survivor. Team Cena was in trouble, as Big Show turned heel with a Knockout Punch to John Cena that left a beaten up Ziggler to face three remaining members of Team Authority. After Ziggler overcame the odds and was about to get the final pin, Triple H interfered and knocked out the referee. Before WWE’s COO could help Rollins get the pin, Sting came to the ring and delivered a Scorpion Death Drop on Triple H, allowing Ziggler to get the victory.

Winner: Team Cena

Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose

Wyatt got the official win, but it was Ambrose who got the better of his current foe. The Lunatic Fringe hit Wyatt in the stomach with a chair, forcing the ref to disqualify him. Ambrose wasn’t done, putting Wyatt through a table by jumping off the top rope, and tossing chairs on top of his opponent, until he had to be stopped by a group of referees.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

WWE Tag Team Title Fatal 4-Way Match

The Usos looked poised to win back the titles after Goldust was hit with a top rope splash, but a tag from The Miz put him in position for the win. Mizdow tagged The Miz, allowing him to get the pin, and giving the former WWE champ and his stunt double the titles.

Winner: The Miz & Damien Mizdow

AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella (Divas Championship Match)

Even though the Bella Twins have been feuding since SummerSlam, Brie helped her sister win the title. She kissed AJ at the start of the match, distracting the champ and causing her to lose in a manner of seconds. The quick defeat has many wondering if rumors of AJ’s impending departure from WWE are true.

Winner: Nikki Bella

Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match

The team of babyfaces dominated the heels, as they won without one Diva getting eliminated. Naomi pinned Paige for the victory.

Winner: Natalya, Alicia Fox, Naomi & Emma

Adam Rose & The Bunny vs. Slater-Gator

The match was added to the show during the PPV, and The Bunny pinned Heath Slater for the win.
