With no more WWE pay-per-views left until WrestleMania 33, the card for the biggest show of 2017 has fallen into place. The top matches are all but official, and most of the WrestleMania rumors have turned out to be true.

There are certainly things to be excited about heading into the April 2 event in Orlando. The feud between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho could be one of the year’s best, and the Raw Women’s Championship Match could steal the show if it features Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Sasha Banks. WWE has done a terrific job with most of the feuds on “SmackDown Live,” while Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are involved in a compelling storyline for the WWE Championship.

A few of the WrestleMania 33 matches, however, are less than ideal. It makes sense for Brock Lesnar and Goldberg to have a rematch after what happened at Survivor Series, but the feud doesn’t exactly need the WWE Universal Championship. Roman Reigns and The Undertaker could have a good match, though there seems to be a much more obvious choice for the Deadman’s WrestleMania opponent.

Here are three matches that should be on the WrestleMania 33 card:

The Undertaker vs. John Cena

It’s hard to believe this match has never headlined WrestleMania. Cena has been the face of WWE ever since he won his first world title at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, and The Undertaker is the most iconic WrestleMania performer in WWE history. If The Undertaker’s match at WrestleMania 33 is going to be his last, as has been speculated, it would only make sense that two of the top WWE stars in history would close the show.

Even Cena has said that he wants to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, but it looks like it’s the dream match that WWE fans will never get to see. The Undertaker is headed for a match with Reigns, and it appears that Cena will team with Nikki Bella in a mixed tag team match against The Miz and Maryse.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

This might not have the storyline that other matches on the card would have, but as far as in-ring work goes, it would undoubtedly be among the best at WrestleMania 33. Styles and Nakamura are two of the best wrestlers on the planet, and they could put on a match that would have the entire professional wrestling world talking the next day. They already did it last year at Wrestle Kingdom 10 when they were in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and WWE could be missing a big opportunity to recreate that match on their biggest stage.

Styles will likely put on an entertaining match with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33, but it feels like he should be given a bigger spotlight on the show. Nakamura will likely remain in NXT through WrestleMania 33, and it could be a few months before he makes his debut on WWE’s main roster.

Kurt Angle vs. Rusev

It doesn’t appear as if either wrestler will have a prominent role on the WrestleMania 33 card, which shouldn’t be the case. After it was announced that Angle would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, he told ESPN that he hadn’t discussed wrestling another match with WWE. While he’s no longer in the prime of his career, Angle is certainly capable of putting on a good match, and it would make sense to pair him with a young, budding WWE star. Rusev has all the tools to be a top heel, and his anti-American gimmick would work well against the former Olympian.

Instead, Rusev will likely find himself in the forgettable Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Angle will probably have another WWE match at some point, but it’s hard to say when that might be.
