"The Young and the Restless"
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will be confronted after she’s caught getting closer to Jack (Peter Bergmann, not pictured) on the Sept. 18, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

They’ve embarked on a new relationship together following her decision to finally separate from Victor after his attempts to control their family’s lives became too much for her. However, Nikki and Jack will find themselves questioned about what they’re thinking by getting involved when a romantic moment at the Abbott cabin is interrupted on the Monday, Sept. 18 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has been seeing Jack (Peter Bergmann) ever since she decided to leave Victor (Eric Braden) for good on the CBS soap. The decision to move on with his sworn enemy has already met some other criticisms, but for the most part has been accepted otherwise. However, when the two are found together at the Abbott cabin when Abby (Melissa Ordway) barges in, they will both face her questions about the relationship, and whether or not they think it would be a good idea to incur Victor’s wrath over their romance.

“What are you two trying to do? Start the final Newman-Abbott war?” she asks in a preview clip for the episode.

Nikki and Jack will assure her that their relationship won’t cause more trouble and drama, but Abby won’t remain convinced, especially after she has seen how Victor has been lately as he continues losing the support of his various family members, including Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), who was recently told that he was the reason she and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were no longer living at the ranch. Her warnings of what could happen if they pursue the relationship will briefly concern the pair, but they will decide together that they’ll handle whatever Victor throws their way.

It won’t take long for Victor to quickly focus his attentions on them however, especially after he goes to confront Nick about telling Faith why they really moved in with Chelsea )Melissa Clare Egan). He will go to his son and warn him that he’s the one to blame when it comes to Victor’s own grandkids also turning on him, and his warning will indicate that he will also pay for what his father sees as a massive betrayal.

“You’re poisoning my grandchildren against me?” Victor asks in the clip.

“That’s your spin,” Nick replies.

“No, son. This one’s on you,” Victor says.

While confronting Nick, Victor will then learn that the only reason he told Faith the truth about why they had moved was because Nikki had learned about Victor’s secret visit to the girl’s summer camp, in an effort to get her on his side. After realizing Nikki was the one who sold him out, leading to his new estrangement from Faith as well, Victor will then begin to set his sights on also sabotaging his wife, as well as their son.

Victor won’t hesitate to send Nikki a warning that she will pay for what she’s done. If he then learns about how much closer she and Jack have gotten as well, it could lead to great catastrophe for everyone whom he feels has wronged him.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
