Nikki on "The Young and the Restless"
Victor (Eric Braden, not pictured) confronts Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about how she’s acting and treating him on the May 1, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

She spearheaded a plan to make sure her husband always received the cold shoulder from his family after his latest actions were revealed. However, Nikki will now find herself being confronted about her actions when Victor returns home to Genoa City and finds her with Jack on the Monday, May 1 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was getting cozy with Jack (Peter Bergmann) at the Ranch on the CBS soap when Victor (Eric Braden) suddenly returned home from his trip. She had asked Jack for help in figuring out how to get some of her mojo back, and the two were looking at old photo albums and reminiscing about their time together when Victor walked in. Now, after he and Jack trade a few barbs at one another, Victor will confront his wife over how she, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) have been treating him since they learned about his inadvertent involvement in Adam’s death. In a preview clip for the episode, he will admit to Nikki that he is most disappointed in how she of all people is actually treating him.

“I understand Nicholas and Victoria turning their back on me,” he says. “But I thought that you of all people would understand me.”

Nikki and her two children with Victor all privately disowned him after realizing he was the reason Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) came back to town last year, and that he worked with her to set Adam up for the alleged murder of Constance Bingham. That connection to Chloe was one she used in order to get his help fleeing town after the truth about her murdering Adam came out. Though his family acknowledges that Victor didn’t actually set out to kill his other son, and didn’t order Chloe to do it, they can’t forgive how he set the chain of events into motion.

After they began freezing him out privately (they still publicly acknowledge him and keep things normal to everyone else in order to protect their own interests), Victor left town. While he was gone he tried to make amends with Nikki by donating a wing to a local university for MS Research, which was in Nikki’s name. Now, he thinks that the gesture should have paved a way for him to start winning her back, but she only grew more pissed off at him as a result, which led to her seeking Jack out. Now, the pair’s marriage will also suffer even more, as they continue to deal with the fallout of the truth about Adam. And as his marriage and home life disintegrate further, Victor may decide to take action against the woman who is responsible for his current situation, in the hopes that finding Chloe and bringing her to justice for Adam’s murder, he may finally get back the family members he holds so close to his heart.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
