Hard seltzers have risen in popularity over the last year, and it doesn’t look like 2021 will be any different. From fruity varieties to iced teas and lemonades, the hard seltzer business is booming, and several players are looking to expand their lineup or enter the market for the first time in 2021. Here are the newest hard seltzer beverages to arrive in 2021.

Mike’s Hard Lemonade Seltzer

Mark Anthony Brands, the maker behind Mike’s Hard Lemonade, is bringing a hard lemonade seltzer under the name to store shelves in March 2021, according to Hard Seltzer News.

The brewing company currently sells a lemonade hard seltzer in the U.K. under the Mike’s brand in black cherry, lemon, and lime that has 5% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 100 calories.

While there were no specific details released on the new Mike’s hard lemonade seltzer for the U.S. market by the company to date, there were two trademarks filed related to the beverage that called it a “full flavor lemonade seltzer” and boasting that “nobody makes lemonade like Mike’s,” Hard Seltzer News reported.

Bud Light Hard Seltzer Lemonade

Anheuser-Busch will kick off 2021 with the launch of Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade.

The lemonade seltzer will be in stores nationwide starting Monday, featured in a variety pack of flavors that include original lemonade, black cherry lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and peach lemonade.

Anheuser-Busch said the seltzer is brewed with “loads of lemonade flavor,” as well as cane sugar and natural fruit flavors. It has 100 calories, less than 1 gram of sugar, and an ABV of 5%.

“ Our Seltzer Lemonade marries the bold flavors of lemonade with the refreshing bubbliness of seltzer; this new offering is perfect for both established seltzer fans and those who are looking to give seltzer a try,” Andy Goeler, vice president of marketing, Bud Light, said in a statement.

Travis Scott’s Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer

In a collaboration with Anheuser-Busch, rapper Travis Scott introduced the Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer that will be available in spring 2021.

The hard seltzer is spiked with 100% premium blue agave tequila from Mexico and has 7% ABV. It will be offered in three flavors – lime, pineapple, and strawberry – and will be sold in nine-pack variety packs of 12-ounce cans , as well as in 16-ounce and 25-ounce single cans in the lime and pineapple varieties.

Scott, who is known for his hit “Goosebumps,” said at the time of the release of the seltzer that he is a “big fan of tequila.” He continued by saying, “ I’m really excited to put this out in 2021 and see other people be able to enjoy it.”

Avery Sparkle Glacier Spiked Seltzer

The Boulder, Colorado-based Avery Brewing Company unveiled a glacier-spiked hard seltzer called Sparkle.

The 100-calorie hard seltzer has zero-added sugars and 1.5 carbs. It is available in three flavors, including cherry lime, grapefruit, and cranraz, with 5% ABV. The seltzer will be sold in mixed 12-packs of 12-ounce cans and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans across its distribution footprint, starting in late February.

The Sparkle seltzer was created over the course of a year, with the company focusing on all-natural ingredients, crisp flavors, and their own brewing process during the development.

Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer

Anheuser-Busch’s Michelob Ultra will mark its foray into the hard seltzer business with an organic hard seltzer in 2021.

The Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer is USDA-certified and will be available nationwide in January. The seltzer will come in three flavors – cucumber lime, spicy pineapple, and peach pear – with only 80 calories per can. The beverage also has zero carbs, zero sugar, and is filtered six times to remove impurities, the company said.

The seltzer was also designed to appeal to a “more mature hard seltzer lover, ages 35-54,” which Anheuser-Busch said is driving half of the growth of the hard seltzer market.

The organic seltzer will be sold in 12 packs of 12-ounce cans, 24-packs of 12-ounce cans, and 25-ounce cans. The company also said that a second variety pack with additional flavors will be launched later this year.

Truly Iced Tea

The Boston Beer Company is coming to market with a Truly Iced Tea Hard Seltzer in 2021 that is already available at retailers nationwide.

The hard seltzer is offered in four varieties – lemon, raspberry, peach, and strawberry – featuring a hint of fruit and real brewed iced tea. It has 1 gram of sugar, 100 calories, and 5% ABV like all of Truly’s hard seltzers.

“With each innovation, we're pushing the boundaries of what drinkers expect from hard seltzer,” Casey O'Neill, senior product development manager at The Boston Beer Company. "We spent eight months testing more than 250 iterations to land on the Truly Iced Tea launching today and can't wait to finally share it with our drinkers.”

Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Seltzers

Chef Gordon Ramsay has introduced his own lineup of hard seltzers dubbed Hell’s Seltzer, which can be found in stores nationwide in early 2021, Business Insider reported.

The hard seltzers come in a series of flavors that include Knicker Twist (passion fruit, pineapple, orange), That’s Forked (vanilla, key lime, graham), Mean Green (lime, mint, kiwi, pineapple), and Berry Inferno (raspberry, blueberry, peach). According to the Drink Hell’s website, the seltzers have 5.5% ABV.

The seltzers are billed on the website as “unapologetically bold” and “inspired by the menus of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.” Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen” TV show pits upcoming chefs in a heated cooking competition against each other week-after-week until a winner is declared.
