The strange saga of a thief in the United Kingdom who looks a great deal like actor David Schwimmer continued this week. A judge in Blackpool, England issued an arrest warrant for the accused shoplifter after he missed court on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported.

The alleged robbery went viral in October after Blackpool police released a blurry surveillance photo of the apparent thief. The man, a 36-year-old named Abdulah Husseni, bore a striking resemblance to the former “Friends” star, which turned a simple crime investigation into international news.

He was charged with theft and fraud, but failed to appear in court this week, leading to the arrest warrant. Blackpool police arrested him in November.

When the story originally blew up, Schwimmer tweeted a video of himself in a grocery store in the United States to prove his innocence.
