A Paris Saint-Germain star thinks Real Madrid and Barcelona wouldn’t be able to offer a good deal for Kylian Mbappé and Neymar, respectively.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are both currently being linked to two massive transfers – Neymar to Barca and Mbappé to Madrid. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, these transfers are not impossible given the reputation of all involved. However, PSG star Ander Herrera begged to disagree.

In a recent appearance on the program “El Transistor” of Spanish radio station Onda Cero (via Besoccer.com), Herrera candidly spoke about the situation of his PSG teammates, Neymar and Mbappé. According to the Spanish midfielder, he doesn’t see the pair parting ways with PSG anytime soon.

“Right now, none. I see them very committed and happy,” Herrera responded when asked if he “sees any chance” of Neymar going to Barcelona and Mbappé to Real Madrid.

It is no secret that the global coronavirus pandemic has caused the biggest clubs drastic financial problems. And though Herrera admits he is not an economist, looking at the current situation in La Liga, he is certain that neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid can match Neymar’s and Mbappé’s price tags.

"I don't think Real Madrid or Barcelona can do a deal of this [Neymar and Mbappé] caliber in this situation, although I'm not an economist or inside either of those two clubs,” he said.

The former Manchester United player insisted that Neymar has been very focused on winning with PSG. In fact, Herrera also admires the Brazilian’s personality even outside the pitch.

“In Neymar, I see a guy who fully committed to the project, who tries to make the group strong and organizes meals at his house as well as his birthday. It's a pleasure to share the team's moments with him,” Herrera said.

Ultimately, Herrera thinks Neymar will stand on the same level as legendary players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the near future when it comes to honors and recognition.

“I see him [Neymar] closer and closer to becoming Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's successor with regards to the Ballon d'Or,” he added.

Neymar left the Brazilian side for Barca in 2013. It was a noble move for the Catalans, but the deal had been plagued with controversies.

Now, rumors have once again surfaced that the 28-year-old may return to Barcelona. However, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has already ruled out the possibility of bringing Neymar back anytime soon.

Herrera seemed to be right in his assessment as Bartomeu stressed that due to the financial blow they suffered due to the pandemic, Neymar’s transfer is unlikely to happen.
