  • Barcelona may see Luis Suarez leave the club soon
  • Juventus has garnered interest for the 33-year-old veteran forward
  • Suarez’s current market price is at 28 million Euros

The current strategy of Barcelona is now inclined to restructuring the club as Luis Suarez is currently linked to a transfer to Juventus. It has been a rough couple of months for Barca and they’re looking to find ways to bounce back after the recent developments in their team.

The Serie A organization has eyed Suarez to be part of their team as Juventus is looking for a striker after Gonzalo Higuain is set to leave the club. In the 2019-2020 Serie A season, it was Juventus that topped the standings with a record of 26 wins, five draws and seven losses.

Placing a veteran like Suarez can benefit the team as he’s proven to be a winner in his career. This can also be a positive transfer for the former Uruguay player of the year with the current rocky set up in Barcelona. This has been highlighted with the recent sacking of Quique Setien and with the desire of superstar Lionel Messi to leave the organization. In addition to this, Suarez is also seeking clarity from Josep Maria Bartomeu and newly appointed Ronald Koeman on his role for the Camp Nou-based squad.

“There is talk of some names that the president gave, of changes that can be made, but nobody told me that they want to do without me,” Suarez said, by way of Goal.com.

Throughout Suarez’s career, he was able to make a significant impact on Barcelona in 283 appearances. The 33-year-old tallied 198 goals to go along with 109 assists.

“If this is the desire of the club, it would be good if the person in charge speaks directly to me. I've been at Barca for six years, enough time to say what they think. It's better to tell me if I am one of the ones that they want out. It remains to be seen,” Suarez added.

The current market value of Suarez is estimated to be at 28 million Euros. Despite the embarrassing 8-2 loss against Bayern Munich in the recent Champions League, Suarez was still able to contribute with one goal in the 54th minute.

“I also want the best for the club and my plan today is to continue, but if the club thinks that I am expendable, I have no problem speaking with those who decide," Suarez shared.

The fans are one of the biggest reasons for Suarez to continue donning the colors of Barcelona and he ensures that he will keep playing as long as he's given the opportunity.

“[I want to stay], as long as I am counted on, I want to continue contributing as much as I can. I have felt the support of the fans since I arrived and that also gives me a lot of strength to continue,” Suarez concluded.

It will be interesting to see if Juventus can finalize a deal for the Suarez in the near future if ever Barca decides to part ways.
