With two-outs in the bottom of the ninth, Coco Crisp singled and stole his second base to spark a comeback for the A's stagnant offense, as Daric Barton's RBI single scored Crisp to tie the game. Kurt Suzuki dove home from third base when Angel's Howie Kendrick's throw came wide off a soft grounder, as the A's beat their division rival Angels 5-4 in 10 innings.

Kendrick, the Angels outfielder, was playing in the infield in order to throw out any possible score on a grounder. But his inexperience led to a hard wide throw to the catcher which allowed Suzuki to score.

Crisp continued his effort to spark the A's offense with his speed by stealing second base with two-outs in the ninth, after notoriously trying to steal home in Chicago last Friday. The stagnant A's offense currently ranks 25th or 26th in the league in every major statistical category.

The A's moved to one game over .500 and closed to within a game of the AL West Division leading Texas Rangers.
