Conor McGregor isn't just one of the most celebrated UFC fighters in history; he's also a style aficionado. Recently, the former MMA featherweight and lightweight champion said that he credits his fashion from one of the world's best-dressed men, David Beckham.

In 2018, the former mixed-martial-arts superstar debuted his fashion line in collaboration with custom clothier David August. The 31-year-old Irishman's collection comprises of sportswear, limited edition t-shirts, and McGregor's signature style suits. The menswear sold out in less than 24 hours.

Earlier this month, August McGregor released its most recent fashion set, and the UFC standout shared one of his inspirations. "The Notorious," said that football star David Beckham influenced the style behind his collection.

Conor said that the "OG of fashion and male style is David Beckham." He added that English footballer paved the way for that kind of wear, "Beckham was a pioneer." He also shared that the team behind August McGregor go to David for inspiration, a person that he'd "look up to style-wise, back in the day."

The former UFC champ also shared that Beckham had sent him clothes after they met. He added that he "talked to David," the things that the football Hall-of-Famer has given are in his office "as we speak."

In 2017, the Irish slugger told the media that "David Beckham is an original gangster (OG) from "a fashion standpoint that I've capitalized on." McGregor noted that the only differences were that the footballer is famous for his sport, and he is in-fighting.

The Irishman said that he has so much respect for "him (Beckham) and the empire that he has built." He also stated that both of them traded messages and that David is interested in entering the world of combat sports.

McGregor said that Beckham went to the gym where he prepared against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017. He shared that David "was at the Ultimate Fighting Championship performance institute where I prepared for the Floyd fight."
