  • New images of the upcoming "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" DLC has been released
  • The major update is set to be released this Spring 2020
  • However, the DLC is only available to season pass holders

More teasers for the upcoming “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” DLC are coming out after Bandai Namco officially unveiled the details of its first major update last month.

In the newest release by manga magazine Saikyo Jump (leaked by @DbsHype), new images of Super Saiyan God Goku and Super Saiyan God Vegeta fighting as part of their training with Whis were revealed.

The new DLC is titled “A New Power Awakens – Part 1,” which focuses on Goku and Vegeta training with Whis in order to reach the Super Saiyan God transformation. After this, they will be able to fight Beerus in what Bandai Namco described as an “exclusive Boss Battle Episode.”

Interestingly, in the latest leaked images, Beerus can be seen fighting a Super Saiyan God Goku. Moreover, it is worth noting that the God of Destruction was showing off some of his moves and attack power.

Aside from a fresh look at the Super Saiyan God transformation, a surprising side character was also shown – despite largely going unnoticed. As discovered by GameRant, it appears the Oracle Fish will have some sort of a role in the game when the DLC arrives.

While the said minor character appears rarely and only plays a small role in the anime and manga, it should be recalled that it is the one who predicted that Beerus will meet a challenger that could well go up against him.

Considering that the DLC is about Whis training Goku and Vegeta to reach the Super Saiyan God level and battle Beerus after, the presence of the Oracle Fish just seems fitting. However, it is still unknown what it will bring to the game and what functions it has for the training.

There is still no official date when the “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” DLC will be released. However, Bandai Namco noted that it will be some time during Spring 2020. Unfortunately, the upcoming content is only available to Season Pass holders.

For those who don’t have a season pass, they will need to wait to purchase it at a later date along with Part 2 of the DLC. It is still unknown when the said second part will be released, however.
