In a horrific incident, a father allegedly slit his four-year-old daughter's throat with a knife and killed her. The incident took place in the Indian state of Telangana.

According to police, the accused has three daughters and the one he killed was the youngest. She was brutally murdered by her father due to financial problems he has been facing due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The accused was identified as Ramavath Jeevan.

Police said that Jeevan is not stable mentally and killed his daughter due to his financial debts.

Police registered a case and are investigating the incident. Other details about the incident remain unclear.

Recently, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a 30-year-old father allegedly killed his 2-year-old daughter in order to maintain domestic peace. Local police arrested the accused after a complaint was registered. The accused had allegedly discussed his domestic problems with a friend, who was also a black magic healer. The friend suggested that human sacrifice should be made to maintain peace at his home.

The father strangulated the daughter to death while "other family members were sleeping. He then slit her throat with a sharp object and buried the body in a nearby field," a police official told local media the Hindustan Times.

In another incident, a father killed his son after he refused to wear a face mask while stepping out of their home amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The incident took place in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.

Local media reported that the father, identified as Bansidhar Mallick, strangulated his son with a cloth strap. He surrendered himself to the police the day of the incident. He admitted to killing his son in a fit of rage as he refused to put the mask on while stepping out of their home.
