‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2: Alanna Ubach Joins Kaley Cuoco Starrer

“The Flight Attendant” fans will see Alanna Ubach joining the cast of the show in the upcoming sophomore run of the HBO Max series.

The 46-year-old actress, known for “Bombshell,” “Euphoria” and the “Legally Blonde” movies, has been tapped to play a recurring role in the critically acclaimed dark comedy mystery thriller, Deadline revealed Thursday.

Ubach is portraying the role of Carol Atkinson, who is described to be a perfectly groomed, icy flight attendant. Carol is also referred to as Black Market Carol on the show, and she happens to be not so cordial towards Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie Bowden.

Ubach is only participating in the new season as a guest star. There’s no word yet on the number of episodes she’ll be featured in, but she is most likely working with the series regulars this month as production on the show is currently ongoing.

Aside from Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez are returning for Season 2. They are joined by new series regulars Callie Hernandez, JJ Soria and Mo McRae.

Other recurring guest stars set to appear in the new season are Cheryl Hines, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Jessie Ennis, Margaret Cho, Mae Martin and Santiago Cabrera. Yasha Jackson, Audrey Grace Marshall and T.R. Knight are also returning as recurring characters.

The first season premiered in November 2020, and its success pushed HBO Max to renew the show for another season just days after the finale aired the following month. If fans enjoyed the tumultuous and dramatic freshman run of the show, they are in for a ride next season.

“We have had a very clear path for what a Season 2 would look like and we know exactly what it’ll look like, and we hope we’ll get the opportunity to do that,” the “Big Bang Theory” alum was previously quoted as saying by Entertainment Weekly.

Playwright Steve Yockey, who serves as one of the show’s writers, teased that the second season will be like “a whole new adventure” that is akin to a Hitchcock movie, according to Us Weekly.

The series is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian.
